Syneron Dental Lasers Establishes Collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jean-Paul Rocca, Dental Faculty, University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis
Scientific cooperation will incorporate LiteTouch™ and Laser-in-the-Handpiece™ technologies as part of EMDOLA multicentric Erbium: YAG dental laser systems clinical research
January 10, 2012 – Yokneam, Israel – Syneron Dental Lasers, the world's leading provider of innovative dental laser technologies and the inventor of the LiteTouch™ and Laser-in-the-Handpiece™ technologies announced today that it is collaborating on research projects with Prof. Dr. Jean-Paul Rocca, the Scientific Director of the DUOLA (University Diploma) and EMDOLA (European Master Degree in Oral Laser Applications) at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France and University Hospital of Nice.
A full-time professor at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis and Head of the Clinical Research Unit at the University Hospital, Prof. Rocca has earned two PhDs – Dentistry (option: Endodontics) and Human Biology (option: Bacteriology).
As the current President of the WFLD (World Federation of Laser Dentistry), and former Chairman of the WFLD-European Division, Prof. Rocca continues to promote the dissemination of new research from the world’s key opinion leaders in oral laser applications, as well as advancing standards of laser dentistry technology and opening the organization to the next generation of young clinicians and researchers. Professor Rocca is a renowned expert in Erbium YAG laser systems in dentistry and has published numerous research reports. He is dedicated to the promotion of oral laser therapy across the globe.
